Flow passes first through Filter A and then through Filter B. Therefore we recommend that larger particle filtration or water removal elements be used for Filter A. The water removal option is recommended when filtering a fluid for the first time or when samples show undesirable amounts of dissolved or free water.
Filter B should be chosen based on your target cleanliness.
For very contaminated fluids start with larger particle retention filters and work your way down to your target. Circulate the fluid 7 times for each filter combination as described previously in the Pumps and Motors selection.
Example 1: For Water Removal Filter A = Water Removal Element, Filter B = 6 Micron Particulate This method prolongs the life of the Filter B element.
Example 2: No Water If your target is 6 micron: Filter A = 12 Micron Particulate; Filter B = 6 Micron Particulate
