Management Team

Brian Gleason, President & CEO

Brian Gleason oversees day-to-day operations of the company—including marketing, finance, business development, production, engineering, and management of the company’s international distribution network. He joined Des-Case as general manager in 1997, became president in 2005, and was named CEO in 2011.

Before Des-Case, Brian worked with Aetna Investment Services (now ING) and Reliable Racing Supply. He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve from 1988 to 2001 and held the rank of captain. He holds an MBA from the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Siena College.

Mark Barnes, Vice President, Reliability Services

Mark Barnes leads the company’s lubrication transformation services group, which helps customers identify opportunities for improvements to their industrial lubrication programs. Prior to joining Des-Case, he was chief technical officer and vice president of services, for Noria Corporation.

Mark has 16 years of experience in the fields of lubrication management, oil analysis, and contamination control and has published more than 100 technical articles, white papers, and conference papers. His former clients include Chevron, DuPont, Alcoa, Cargill, International Paper, and the U.S. Army. He holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and is a certified maintenance and reliability professional (CMRP).

Tony Espinosa, Vice President, HR & Administration

Tony Espinosa oversees key HR functions fundamental to driving talent acquisition, performance, and employee engagement. He also leads IT and customer support activities in the company.

Prior to joining Des-Case in 2010, he held a number of leadership positions in the hospitality industry—including Hillstone Restaurants (formerly Houston’s) and J. Alexander’s Corporation, where he was appointed director of human resources in 2003. He holds a Master of Science in management from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Debbie Florey, Chief Financial Officer

Debbie Florey leads Des-Case’s finance and accounting department, having joined the Des-Case team in 2011 with more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing in a wide variety of industries.

Prior to Des-Case, Debbie served as chief financial officer at Dynamic Management Company, a restaurant management group. Before that, she was an audit partner and director for Blankenship CPA Group, LLP and an audit senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baylor University, where she majored in accounting and obtained her certified public accountant certificate in 1992.

Jon Haworth, Vice President, Plant Operations & Innovation

Jon Haworth is responsible for manufacturing operations and leads the company’s production, product development, supply chain, purchasing, and engineering teams. He also oversees the company’s product patent processes.

He joined Des-Case as a product development engineer in 2002 and has designed many of the company’s product lines. Prior to Des-Case, Jon worked with the propulsion wind tunnel group at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, Tenn., the largest ground aerospace testing facility in the world. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and earned an MBA with a focus on international studies from the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.

Bill Lyons, Vice President, Sales and Business Development

As head of Sales and Business Development, Bill Lyons focuses on the company’s global commercial efforts in the establishment of new strategic partnerships and long-term supply/service relationships. He is also responsible for all major OEM relationships. Bill joined the Des-Case team in 2011 and brings more than 20 years of executive management and sales experience to the organization.

Bill’s executive leadership includes experience at Fortune 100 and 500 institutions, including vice president appointments at Shell Oil Company and Sumitomo Corporation. He also owned an energy company, Premier Enterprises, which was one of the largest minority owned energy contractors to the Department of Defense. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of San Diego and has pursued advanced courses in complex negotiations and conflict resolution at both Harvard University and MIT.

Dennis Morgan, Vice President, Technical Services

Dennis Morgan leads the technical services and sales teams that help match the right Des-Case products—including custom-built solutions—with customers’ contamination control issues.

In 1992, Dennis founded Axle Machine Services, Ltd.  and then AMS Filtration in 1997. He joined Des-Case in 2011, when the company acquired AMS Filtration.

He has more than 20 years’ experience both in management and with industrial equipment and in 2010 authored the book “Basic Principles of Vacuum Dehydration.” His expertise ranges from transformer insulating oil dehydration and degasification to lubricating oil dehydration, oil purification design and strategy and depth filtration technology. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ashland University.

Michael Powers, Vice President, Marketing

Michael Powers leads Des-Case’s marketing team. He came to Des-Case in 2007 from Asurion, where he held roles as a senior director and vice president of account management, product marketing, business development, and product strategy.

Prior to that, he worked in marketing-related positions for GTE Corporation (now Verizon), Raychem Corporation, and General Motors. Michael holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University.
